We had 3 players enter the British Masters Tournamant at the weekend, Neil
Green, Richard Black & Martin Bull.
Neil: 1
Win 2 Losses - Bronze
Neil started off a little slowly and got countered in his first contest. He
bounced back magnificently in his second fight, beating a very well respected
6th Dan player. Neil was thrown early in his 3rd contest but came back to level
the score, eventually loosing out in the last minute of the contest.
Richard: 4
Wins 2 Losses - Silver
Richard started in blistering fasion, taking victory in his first two contests
with the maximum Ippon score. His 3rd contest didn't quite go to plan,
eventually loosing by a small penalty. Two more victories though ensured
Richard booked himself a place in the final. Unfortunately a long hard day
caught up with Richard when he lost out in the final to a player he had
recently beaten.
Martin: 0
Win 2 Losses
Martin was in a notoriously tough group and put up a good display, but couldn't
quite manage to take a win.
Fantastic to see two of our players medal at this level of competition. Both
Neil & Richard beat some very high callibre oppostion along the way.
Well done to you all.
