We had a trip over to Belfats last weekend where
Sophie Daniels was competing in the Irish Open. In order to chace various
ranking points, Sophie needed to compete in both the Senior & Youth
sections which were held on the same day.
Senior: 2
Wins 2 Losses - Bronze.
Sophie was extremely unlucky not to make the final of the Senior event. The
referees took 15 minutes to come to a decision in the Semi-Final,
which sadly did not go Sophie's way. This was still a very impressive
performance from Sophie who beat last years number 2 ranked Senior player to
gain the Bronze Medal.
Youth: 1
Win 2 Losses - Bronze.
Although Sophie fought well enough in the Youth event, she didn't really
perform as well as she had earlier in the day in the Senior event. Still, two
Bronze Medals in one day in this level of competition certainly isn't bad!!
