Judo Grading System
Eventually after a couple of months you
will be able to take your first grading. A grading is where you attempt to attain a higher belt, by demonstrating your knowledge of judo techniques and
competition skills.
All the theory requirements are done at
club level, then depending on the grade you require you will have to attend a
county or area examination to assess your competitive skills (the first 6 junior
grades are all done within the Club environment). You will need a BJA licence
to take a grading.
